When should you consult a doctor while your child is teething?

Teething does not generally require an appointment to see the doctor. However, if teething is accompanied by a high temperature that persists without apparent reason, or if your baby has persistent diarrhoea, it is best to see a doctor as soon as possible.

The doctor will examine your child to determine whether these issues are related to another condition. If necessary, they will prescribe some pain relief.
